Coach Jairo guzman Announced as Talent Scout for 2026 All State Game

Coach guzman believes in developing the whole athlete — building character, discipline, and teamwork alongside physical skills. Based in Wisconsin Dells, WI, Jairo guzman coaches football across 6th, 7th, 8th and high_school levels, bringing a classroom-to-field focus that emphasizes tempering skill work with accountability. He names player development as the priority; that clarity drives how he evaluates prospects and communicates with families and coaches.

As a Talent Scout for the 2027 ASG Illinois Boys Basketball in Chicago, IL, guzman will identify and nominate deserving middle school athletes — specifically 6th, 7th and 8th graders — who show both on-field talent and off-field character. He will serve as a gatekeeper on the selection committee, using film study, in-person evaluations and coach referrals to cut through regional hype. His remit includes hunting down prospects in small towns and underfunded programs, making sure a ZIP code or budget doesn’t determine opportunity.

The All State Game has spotlighted youth talent since 2004; notable alumni include NFL players, and the organization has raised more than $300,000 for foster care programs. As part of that platform, guzman will build connections across the Illinois football network and help advance players who belong on a statewide stage. The Talent Scout role also offers a clear pathway: effective scouts can advance to Community Champion and Regional Director positions, expanding their impact beyond individual evaluations.

Expect guzman to measure candidates by concrete standards — practice habits, coachability, game tape, and behavior on and off the field — rather than by hype. His combination of middle- and high-school coaching experience, local ties in Wisconsin Dells, and commitment to "developing the whole athlete" positions him as a validator for the Illinois football community heading into the 2027 All State Game.
