Coach Chris Skinner Announced as Talent Scout for 2026 All State Game

Coach Skinner enters the ASG Georgia Football staff as a Talent Scout after four years of hands-on coaching and service as director of football operations at his school in Hephzibah, GA. He coaches 6th, 7th, 8th and high_school teams and is known locally for getting young players on the right track. Skinner’s bio is straightforward: been coaching football for 4 yrs, I’m director of football operations at our school, love working and teaching kids the game of football.

He coaches with discipline and an emphasis on repetition. Skinner says he believes in developing kids and their skills, and he pushes for hard work and putting in the reps. When evaluating talent he looks for four concrete traits: Good Attitude, are you coachable, can you take criticism, football IQ — do you know how to play football. Those specific markers guide his assessments on practice fields and game days.

As a Talent Scout for the 2027 ASG Georgia Football event in Atlanta, GA, Skinner will nominate standout middle-school athletes and serve as a validator for the Georgia football community. He will help identify and nominate deserving athletes in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades who demonstrate skill and character. Skinner will act as a gatekeeper on the selection committee, cutting through hype to find kids who belong on the All State Game stage and helping talented players from small towns and underfunded programs earn recognition.

Chris Skinner brings direct school-level operations experience to a program that aims to fight the geography of obscurity. He plans to build connections with other Georgia coaches and to help ensure that a player’s zip code or family resources don’t decide opportunity. Skinner’s daily work—coaching middle school and high school players in Hephzibah and managing football operations—will now extend to a statewide platform that spotlights the next wave of Georgia talent.
