Coach Kiara Nichols Announced as Talent Scout for 2026 All State Game

Coach Kiara Nichols, a dedicated Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Lakeland High School Football team, has recently been appointed as a Talent Scout for the ASG DMV Girls Basketball event in Baltimore, MD. Known for her commitment to developing disciplined, high-performing student-athletes, Nichols is not just another coach on the sidelines; she's a pivotal force in shaping young athletic talent. Her current role as a JV Running Backs Coach at Lakeland High School exemplifies her hands-on approach and dedication to improving student-athlete performance both on and off the field.

Nichols owns Alpha Athletics & Wellness, a venture that underscores her mission to build stronger, faster, and more resilient athletes through intentional training and lifestyle coaching. Her educational background is equally impressive, having graduated from Liberty University and currently pursuing a Master’s in Exercise Science at the University of Virginia. As a Certified Soldiers to Sidelines coach, she’s now preparing to sit for the CSCS certification, further solidifying her expertise in the field of athletics.

In her new role with ASG DMV Girls Basketball, Nichols will be tasked with identifying and nominating exceptional athletes from grades 6 through 8, ensuring that talent does not go unnoticed due to geographic or economic barriers. "As a Talent Scout, Coach will serve as a validator for the MD Football community," said Nichols. She aims to cut through the hype and focus on the intrinsic qualities that make an athlete truly great, while also serving as a gatekeeper to maintain the integrity of the selection process.
