Coach Kiara Nichols Announced as Talent Scout for 2026 All State Game

Kiara Nichols, known in the athletic community as Coach Nichols, steps into her new role as a Talent Scout for the ASG DMV Boys Basketball with an impressive background in football. As the Strength & Conditioning Coach and JV Running Backs Coach at Lakeland High School, Nichols has been instrumental in elevating the performance of student-athletes from 6th grade through high school. Her commitment to fostering disciplined and high-performing players is evident in her dual roles at Lakeland, where she's known for her dedication to developing talent on and off the field.

Nichols is not just a coach; she's an entrepreneur with a vision. As the owner of Alpha Athletics & Wellness, she is committed to building stronger and more resilient individuals. Her approach integrates intentional training with lifestyle coaching, setting her athletes up for success both in sports and in life. A graduate of Liberty University, she is furthering her academic credentials with a Master’s in Exercise Science from the University of Virginia. In addition, her credentials are bolstered by her certification as a Soldiers to Sidelines coach, and she is preparing for the CSCS certification.

In her new role as a Talent Scout, Nichols will identify standout middle school athletes across Maryland for the 2026 All State Game. Her keen eye for talent will ensure that deserving athletes, regardless of their geographic or economic circumstances, receive the recognition they deserve. "I am passionate about mentoring youth, instilling life lessons through sport, and creating a lasting impact beyond the game," Nichols said.
