Coach Joseph Mesa Announced as Talent Scout for 2026 All State Game

Joseph Mesa, known for being a formidable middle linebacker, is set to bring his unmatched work ethic and leadership to a new role as a Talent Scout for the ASG Florida Football in 2026. This transition marks an exciting chapter in Mesa's career, as he moves from the field’s intensity in Cutler Bay, FL, to the critical task of identifying promising young athletes for a prestigious platform in Orlando.

Mesa’s journey in football is anchored by his passion and dedication to the sport. "My goal is to play and enjoy football to the fullest until God intends I stop," remarked Coach Mesa. His commitment to the game is evident not just in his performance but also in his determination to uplift those around him. For years, he has been not only a player but a leader, guiding his teammates to excel both in practice and on game day. This focus on helping others now finds a broader arena as he takes on the responsibility of a Talent Scout.

In this new role, Coach Mesa will be a key figure in discovering and supporting emerging talent from grades 6 through 8. His mission is clear: to find athletes who display exceptional skill and character and ensure they receive the recognition they deserve. As part of a larger selection committee, Mesa will cut through the hype to highlight athletes who truly belong on the All State Game stage. He’s not just looking for talent in the obvious places but is dedicated to reaching out to small towns and underfunded programs, fighting the "geography of obscurity" that often limits young athletes' opportunities.

The significance of Coach Mesa’s role goes beyond the football field. By connecting with other top coaches in Florida’s football network, he reinforces a community committed to fair play and genuine merit. As Mesa settles into his new position, his eyes are set on potentially advancing to roles like Community Champion or Regional Director, further amplifying his impact on young athletes' lives. His journey is a testament to the power of dedication and the pursuit of opportunities that align with his goals.
